New London: ''Full of Surprises''

Jan 16, 2010 9:55 AM - John Dankosky, WNPR, Where We Blog - Nice feature on the New London Music scene in tomorrow’s New York Times. Although I live in Winsted, the other corner of the world from New London, I love this little city, and we’ve enjoyed talking about it and its residents on Where We Live.

Most recently, we revisited the Kelo v. New London case with Jeff Benedict, when he wrote his book “Little Pink House.” We talked to artist Emma Wilcox about her show “Salvage Rights” at Real Art Ways, which touched on the theme of eminent domain, and looked back on the anniversary of that decision.

But, one of our favorite shows was a visit to the beautiful Garde Arts Center to talk about New London’s potential. And, we even welcomed in some of the city’s best musicians for a show just about the music scene there.

On February 25th, we’re heading back. To see what’s happened since our last visit, to talk about Pfizer’s decision to leave, and what New London is thinking about itself right now.

Let us know what to talk about, and who to talk to. We can’t wait.
