As a non-profit community-owned cultural and educational institution, the Garde relies on generous tax-deductible support from many sources. Each year the Garde must raise significant funds to cover facility and programming costs, to protect our beautiful theater and to continue to energize the rejuvenation of New London and the region. Tax-deductible contributions make this possible, covering 30% of all the annual operating costs. Your donation enables:- Top-quality Broadway, Opera, music, film and family performances.
- Schooltime performances in music, theater and dance for more than 10,000 children.
- Year-round after-school and summer programs in the performing and visual arts for elementary, middle, and high school students.
The Garde continues to fulfill its non-profit mission to provide the region’s pre-eminent center for cultural activities, thereby enhancing all of our lives.
